“I graduated Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester, NY in 2001 and found the sport while walking my dog on the campus of Davidson College in 2008. I fell in love immediately and began volunteering right away. At that time there were 5 regular courses in Charlotte but the disc golf club was preparing to build more for the 2012 Combined PDGA World Championships. I was able to design and build two of those courses. From those beginnings in 2008 until now I have risen to Director of Operations of the largest disc golf club in the world (The Charlotte Disc Golf Club) and oversee the maintenance and upkeep of our 20 courses. I have designed or re-designed 20 disc golf courses in 4 counties surrounding Charlotte and I’ve played over 400 in 49 states. I wrote the bid, prepared the courses, played in and won MA40 in the 2018 PDGA Amateur Disc Golf World Championships. I have completed in 3 Amateur World Championships finishing 11th, 6th and 3rd and have 14 career wins. I have finished 1st (2012) and 2nd (2018) in the World’s Mixed Doubles Championships.
My highest rating was 1000.
I spend most of my free time building and designing courses and playing with my sons (5.5 & 4).
My passion is growing the sport and maintaining Charlotte as the Mecca of disc golf.”
