Top 5 Courses:

  • Nevin Park -Charlotte, NC
  • Robbins Park -Cornelius, NC
  • Iron Hill -Newark, DE
  • Orange Crush/Seth Burton Complex -Fairmont, WV
  • Crystal City Underground – St. Louis, MO

Why those courses: Nevin Park – Charlotte – Built and Co-designed this course. It offers variety but reminds me of my style
Robbins Park – Cornelius, NC – Complete design and build. I think this is about as good as I could make an intermediate-advanced level course on a small plot of land. Embodies all that I have learned about sustainable course design, risk/reward, and fairness techniques.
Iron Hill, Delaware – I love the long wooded throws and the challenge of this course.
Orange Crush/Seth Burton Complex, Fairmont WV – These 2 courses have everything: elevation, wooded, open shots. What a great complex.
Crystal City Underground, St. Louis Missouri – The design wasn’t the best, but it is so amazing to play 18-36 holes in a cave. What an experience.

Strongest Part of Game: I have always been good at being consistent, getting out of trouble and saving par from poor shots. Learning to play in the woods of North Carolina, creativity and accuracy are my strengths. I utilize every throwing style to get from tee to green. I have had people say that I have one of the softest landing aggressive putts. This often leads to easy putts after birdie runs.

Sponsors: Legacy Discs

Favorite Players: Paul McBeth – I think his off season work will change the game.
Hunter Todd – Local pro always hovering around a 1000 rating. Can’t throw extremely far but putts lights out. I wish I had his putting.

Disc Golf Goals: Consistent 1000+ rating (so close at 998 all of 2015). 50 states, 500 courses. Currently sitting at 42 states and 250 courses. Career goal of 25 designed disc golf courses. Currently at 5. Am worlds title whether it is in Advanced at age 39 or an Am Master’s title at 40. I would also like to win each Am Major probably being the oldest to do so for each event. It is wild to compete with 15-18 year old phenoms and watch them grow into great people and disc golfers. Multiple regional Open wins. Continue to grow the sport in Charlotte in my role as the Director of Operations for the Charlotte Disc Golf Club and our Park and Recreation liaison.

Life Goals: have started a family with my born in June 2016. So most of my goals revolve around growing that family and introducing the next generation to the sport. I will continue to grow in my leadership with my church.h.
